Colours on a thermal image represent surface temperature, not an automatic confirmation of damp. The surveyor compares the pattern with moisture readings, property construction and visible evidence to decide whether further investigation is needed.

My husband is a builder so his standards are very very high, YDS exceeded his expectations which is very surprising as he’s a tough old fella to please lol. Kat was wonderful in the office and Dave was very very good with his knowledge and thermal imaging software to identify exactly where th damp was without any question about it. They were very very knowledgeable. The house was very old and the damp had failed from three different companies that had tried to cure it in the past 4 years. The amount of money I’ve spent has been crazy. Once I’d done my research on accreditations, there’s literally only 2 companies in the whole of Teesside who have the correct accreditations who are legitimate damp specialists, with your damp specialists being one of them. It’s been 18 months now and not even a hint of damp. Five stars all the way. Do your homework on systems and accreditations before taking any steps forward.
